Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Holding / MS Tele Float RN – North Carolina

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 or 48-hour contracts accepted, every other weekend required, no call

Highlights:

• Float pool position supporting the Emergency Department Holding unit (EDIP) with medical/surgical and telemetry patients awaiting inpatient beds
• Fast-paced environment caring for high-acuity adult and geriatric patients with varied medical/surgical diagnoses, including PCU-level care
• Patient ratios: MS/Tele 1:6-1:7, PCU patients 1:3-1:4
• Epic charting system with 12-hour orientation provided
• Flexibility to extend contract through February 27, 2027
• Opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• BLS and NIHSS certification required; CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with MS/Tele and Emergency Department holding experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to manage high patient ratios (1:6-1:7) in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to float to Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical areas as needed
• Must be available to work holidays and participate in storm/hurricane team assignments as needed
• Epic experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
