Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department. Utilizes clinical expertise to triage, stabilize, and discharge patients efficiently while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate triage assessments and promptly communicate abnormal findings to the attending physician.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and manage medical equipment per protocol.
• Recognize signs of cardiac, respiratory, and other critical emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with facility standards.
• Educate patients and families on medication side effects and discharge instructions.
• Maintain competency in emergency nursing skills such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and lead interpretation.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license in the practicing state.
• Possess at least two years of recent emergency department experience.
• Maintain current certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or have the ability to obtain within six months.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG interpretation and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
