As a part of our outpatient office team, you will utilize telehealth platforms to engage clients, making counseling accessible and convenient. This position requires you to connect with clients virtually, ensuring comfort and confidentiality in their treatment process.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health status upon initial consultation.

• Create individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and best practices in psychotherapy.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress towards their recovery goals while adjusting treatment modalities as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to formulate multi-faceted intervention plans.

• Engage in proactive follow-ups with clients recently admitted to hospitals, ensuring their continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and mitigate potential obstacles to recovery, employing psychoeducation techniques with clients and their families.
\n
• Support family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and facilitating effective communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base ranges from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, each presenting unique mental health challenges. You will encounter a variety of cases, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma recovery, and addiction. Your expertise will guide these clients in developing coping strategies and achieving their mental health goals within a supportive framework.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Success on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, with a solid foundation in diagnosing and treating diverse psychological conditions.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to manage documentation and client records efficiently.

• Experience in dealing with various physical and emotional health conditions, along with substance use disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding the impact of psychotropic medications prescribed by healthcare providers and how they interact with therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
