Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and follow-up care to assess client needs and facilitate effective treatment plans.

• Complete required statistical reports and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Collaborate closely with the Department of Correction to facilitate patient admissions, housing arrangements, and treatment disposition, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

• Coordinate care with various institutional programs and participate in mental health and medical rounds, contributing to comprehensive case reviews.
\n
• Lead group treatment sessions within mental health observation units and other designated facilities, helping clients develop coping strategies and resilience.

• Engage actively in clinical supervision with the Clinical Supervisor on a weekly basis to enhance clinical skills and address challenges in practice.
\n
• Facilitate case conferences to discuss patients receiving and being considered for mental health treatment, driving informed treatment planning.
\n
• Possibly oversee social work interns or student volunteers, providing mentorship and guidance in their educational pursuits.
\n
• Coordinate discharge planning services with Reentry Social Workers to prepare clients for successful reintegration post-treatment.

This role specifically focuses on children and adolescents struggling with substance use and related mental health issues. You will work with young clients navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges during their detox process. Your expertise will be pivotal in creating a safe space for minors to explore their feelings, set recovery goals, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California is essential.
