Key Responsibilities

• Develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients by establishing a warm, trusting rapport.
• Diagnose a variety of mental health disorders through comprehensive assessments and interviews.
• Create personalized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
• Conduct regular therapy sessions with individuals and couples, providing support and guidance to address challenges.
• Evaluate client progress continuously and adjust treatment plans as necessary to facilitate effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and refer clients to specialized services when additional support is required.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure the incorporation of current evidence-based practices in therapy.
• Document all client interactions and treatment updates accurately and timely in accordance with regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from children to adults, seeking support for a wide array of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. As an LMFT, you will work intimately with families facing dynamic stresses, couples navigating relationship challenges, and individuals working toward personal growth and recovery. Your expertise in marriage and family therapy will be instrumental in helping clients achieve meaningful change.

Qualifications

• A valid LMFT license to practice in the state of New York.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Thorough understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, particularly concerning addiction and co-occurring disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong capacity to encourage and motivate clients throughout the therapeutic process.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with diverse populations and a variety of mental health issues.
• Specialized training in addiction counseling or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Experience utilizing telehealth systems and digital documentation processes for client care.

Compensation and Benefits
