I am currently looking for a Director or Senior CRO Business Development Director or a for a fantastic mid-sized CRO who are out-performing their competitors, and are on an impressive growth trajectory. They have a very strong name in the market and are picking up more and more work from their competition. They have a very strong footprint across the US/Europe and APAC. They have a very well respected leadership team, a very good culture, and you will be joining a successful BD team who are given all the support and tools they need to succeed.

This CRO also has a very impressive clinical team and strong scientific & medical expertise, contributing to strong reputation with clients, resulting in lots of repeat business. They are a full service CRO and have track record across all phases of clinical studies.

\n

This role is a remote role based anywhere on the east coast, and is an individual contributor role being responsible for the east coast territory. Depending on where you are located there would be a practical conversation with regards to the geographical area you focus on. This role will be both a hunting role as well as manging existing accounts. This organisation works with both biotechs and pharma, with biotechs being their sweet-spot.

Essential Job Duties

\n

Account Strategist

\n

\n
• To initiate, coordinate, develop and implement strategic plans, sales strategies and annual forecasts within a specified territory or accounts in conjunction with the BD strategy
\n
• Coordination and supervising all activities aiming to develop and retain clients, including prospecting, cold calling, in-person sales calls
\n
• Preparing regular account contact schedule
\n

\n

Sales Leadership

\n

\n
• To achieve and maintain positive and effective client relationships
\n
• Collaborating in the development and presentation of powerful capabilities and RFIs
\n
• Creating business opportunities through industry relationships and networks
\n
• Working with operational colleagues to proactively resolve sponsor issues
\n
• Represent and advocate Business Development at various company meetings
\n

\n

Proposal Leadership

\n

\n
• Collaboration and coordination with other departments in the analysis and development of the strategy developed in proposals
\n
• Designing and identifying the most effective presentation team and leading bids defence with clients
\n
• Negotiate contracts with the customers
\n

\n

Marketing activities

\n

\n
• Represent the company at industry conferences and therapeutic meetings
\n
• Obtain competitive information such as the strengths/weaknesses of competitive CROs
\n
• Communicate industry events and trends to management
\n

\n

BD Reporting activities

\n

\n
• Familiarity with Territory Planning, Account Plans and CRM reporting tool
\n
• Tracking, managing and reporting sales activities
\n
