Summer Activity Camp: Pottery Instructor (Ballard CC)Ballard Community Center - Seattle, WA 98107Salary Range $25.00 - $27.00 Hourly Level Entry Category EducationSummer Camp Pottery InstructorJob Title: Summer Camp Pottery Instructor Council-Location: 130 – BallardAssociated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Pottery Camp Instructor to lead youth pottery camps at Ballard Community Center.Instructors will guide participants in exploring creativity through clay while emphasizing foundational pottery techniques, artistic expression, and hands-on learning.Proposed Hourly Wage: $25.00 - $27.00 Status: Seasonal (Summer) Location: Ballard Community CenterSchedule Monday – Friday | 8:45 AM – 4:15 PMDesired Start Date: June 29, 2026ResponsibilitiesInstruct participants in basic pottery and clay-handling techniquesLead structured projects and creative activities using clay and other materialsSupervise participants and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe camp environmentSet up and clean up tools, materials, and workspacesCommunicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisorsFollow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and proceduresQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderExperience in pottery, ceramics, or visual arts instruction preferredExperience working with children in a recreational, classroom, or camp settingAbility to manage groups in a positive, patient, and supportive mannerBenefitsPaid Sick and Safe Time (PSST)We are actively prescreening and interviewing for this role.
