Work Environment

This onsite position is housed within a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic located in beautiful Fort Myers. You will be part of a dedicated team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to deliver exceptional care. Our work environment encourages open communication and teamwork, enabling us to continually refine our approach to patient rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to the unique goals and needs of each patient, ensuring individualized treatment plans are created and followed.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, dedicating focused time to understand their specific condition and rehabilitation objectives.
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach by collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Design and implement a variety of therapeutic exercises and modalities that aim to improve range of motion and mobility.
• Employ your manual therapy skills to provide specialized treatment that minimizes the need for surgical intervention and pharmacologic therapies.
• Encourage patient engagement by motivating them throughout the therapeutic process, helping them to overcome challenges and maximize their potential.
• Document services rendered and treatment outcomes accurately, ensuring clear communication within the team and with referring providers.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to align with their evolving capabilities and needs.
• Incorporate wellness strategies into treatment, including developing tailored fitness programs that promote long-term health benefits.
• Maintain highest standards of professionalism and patient confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will primarily comprise individuals seeking rehabilitation after orthopedic procedures or dealing with chronic pain and mobility challenges. You will focus on providing comprehensive and holistic care tailored to the specific conditions of your patients, enhancing their functionality and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Acknowledge a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is necessary for this role.
• Possess a current and valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Exhibit a clean record with no board or disciplinary actions on your licensure.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise program development.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is required for efficient patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred to ensure a smooth integration into our practice.
• Experience in developing and conducting tailored wellness programs is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to an attractive salary, we extend a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
