Take the opportunity to make a difference as a Special Education Teacher, supporting 6th through 8th-grade students in a Significant Support Needs classroom. What You'll Do:

• Lead a classroom of up to 5 students in the Significant Support Needs program
• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized lesson plans that foster academic, social, and emotional growth
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create tailored learning opportunities
• Foster a structured and positive learning environment that supports student progress
• Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is compliant with state and federal special education regulations
• Attend regular meetings and provide input on students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

What You Bring:

• Active and valid Special Education teaching license; please submit a copy with your application
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or similar setting, with middle school-aged students preferred
• Knowledge of strategies for significant support needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to foster relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Position Highlights:

• Pay: $82.58/hour
• Full-time hours: 40 per week
• Consistent schedule: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 8:40–3:50, Wed 9:40–3:50
• Manageable caseload of 5 students, allowing for individualized attention
