Make a real difference each day supporting middle school students with significant needs as a Special Education Teacher in a highly collaborative, contract-based opportunity. This position begins immediately and runs through late May, blending structure with flexibility for a rewarding semester in a dynamic school environment.

The role involves working with a small group of 6th to 8th graders, fostering growth and helping every student reach their full potential. With a manageable caseload in a Significant Support Needs program, you will have time to provide meaningful, individualized support and instruction.

Key qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification or license (must provide documentation with your application)
• Experience in classroom settings serving students with significant support requirements strongly preferred
• Positive, team-focused mindset and strong communication skills
• Ability to develop IEPs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain detailed student records

Primary duties include:

• Delivering differentiated instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Managing a caseload of five students, grades 6-8
• Maintaining close communication with other educators, staff, and families
• Creating a safe, inclusive learning environment that encourages progress and independence
• Participating in team meetings, professional development, and planning sessions as needed
• Working a weekly schedule of 40 hours: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 8:40 am–3:50 pm; Wed 9:40 am–3:50 pm
