Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students with significant support needs. This position offers the chance to create meaningful change for 6th–8th graders, guiding a small caseload in an environment dedicated to student growth. Be a vital part of a team focused on fostering independence and success for every learner.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Special Education Teaching License (please have a copy available to submit)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with students requiring significant support
- Strong classroom management skills for diverse learners
- Compassion, adaptability, and collaborative spirit
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Instruct, support, and inspire a caseload of 5 students in grades 6–8 within a Significant Support Needs classroom
- Develop, modify, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with classroom staff, related service providers, and families
- Create an inclusive, engaging environment that addresses each student’s unique goals
- Track and document student progress, adapting interventions as necessary
- Participate in regular meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
Details:
- Contract position available immediately through late May
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:40 am to 3:50 pm; Wednesday from 9:40 am to 3:50 pm
- 40 hours per week
- Located near Edwards, CO
