26-27 Ay Temporary Faculty Pool (Lecturer) - Viticulture (Fresno)

Position Summary Temporary Faculty Pool – Lecturer in Viticulture. Appointment is contingent upon budget, enrollment, and collective bargaining agreement provisions. Faculty must be eligible to work in the United States; Temporary Faculty are not eligible for U.S. work visas. Responsibilities Faculty will prepare, deliver, proctor, assess, and grade undergraduate courses in viticulture, including Introductory Viticulture, General Viticulture, Grape Pest and Disease Management, Table Grape and Raisin Production, Organic Viticulture, Digital Viticulture, and other courses as needed. All classes must be offered on schedule in the specified mode (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid). Faculty must adhere to university and system‑wide policies as directed in Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2. Compensation Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, based on the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = **** for Academic Year Lecturers). For a Master's degree holder, the range is $5,*****,677 per month for full‑time (15 WTUs). Starting salaries are typically near the minimum of the range. Qualifications Master's degree in Viticulture or Plant Science with emphasis in Grape Production or a closely related field. Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to and potential for teaching excellence. Strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching at the undergraduate level with evidence of teaching excellence. Experience in grape production, including wine, table, and/or raisin grape production. Experience with organic grape production, grape pests and diseases, and digital viticulture. Experience with post‑harvest aspects and operation of vineyard equipment. Knowledge of preparing students for careers in the wine, table, and raisin grape industry.
