Patient Scheduler - Pain Services

Job Summary This Patient Financial and Scheduling Specialist is a member of a multi‑disciplinary team that coordinates the financial and scheduling of patients seeking care for the management of pain. Responsibilities include appointment and surgical scheduling, insurance authorization, equipment reservation, and maintaining professional customer relations while seeking client feedback. The role collaborates with the Pre‑Admission Center clerical staff and serves as a participative member of an interdisciplinary team aligned with the mission and values of the Pain and Headache Center and Swedish Medical Center. Key Responsibilities Coordinate appointment and surgical scheduling. Obtain insurance authorization. Select and reserve equipment for scheduled cases. Maintain positive customer relations and solicit client feedback. Collaborate with Pre‑Admission Center clerical staff to schedule pre‑admission appointments. Act as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team. Required Qualifications 1 year of patient registration, financial counseling, or insurance company experience. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in business or accounting. 2 years of intermediate‑level experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 2 years of experience in a medical inpatient or outpatient admitting setting. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $29.56 - $44.46 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
