Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough cultural assessments to gain an understanding of each patient’s unique background and formulate personalized treatment plans that effectively address their mental health concerns.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through emotional challenges and enhancing their resilience.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during moments of mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization for clients in distress.

• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to maintain a holistic approach to patient care and ensure coordinated service delivery.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources that can further support their journey towards recovery.

• Maintain thorough and confidential records of patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including but not limited to ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant clients. You will provide a safe space for these individuals to express their thoughts and feelings, helping them to cope with challenges related to identity, culture, and societal pressures while promoting mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrated understanding of various mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment methodologies that emphasize cultural competence.

• Proficient in providing both individual and group therapy through a culturally responsive lens alongside strong crisis intervention abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, conducive to building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document and track patient information accurately.

• Strong commitment to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in every client interaction.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, involving direct therapy delivery and case management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
