Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Rehabilitation Services

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at Lakeportside Mind Rehab & Wellness Center, located in Chula Vista, California. Our facility consists of a state-of-the-art 5000 square-foot sports medicine center, equipped with advanced technology and resources to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Our professional team includes two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, all focused on delivering high-quality services primarily to patients with private medical insurance.

Work Environment

This position requires you to work onsite at our facility in Chula Vista, California, during weekday business hours. The work setting is dynamic, promoting collaboration and communication among colleagues, ensuring optimal care and support for our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities, needs, and goals to determine the most effective treatment strategies.
• Administer personalized treatment plans focusing on therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and education to support patients' rehabilitation journeys.
• Maintain an efficient patient schedule, managing a caseload to treat one patient per hour while ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
• Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery and outcomes.
• Employ evidence-based practices and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress accurately in accordance with the facility's policies and regulatory requirements.
• Motivate patients to engage actively in their treatment, fostering a positive and proactive approach to their health and wellness.
• Create tailored wellness programs that build upon physical therapy treatment to encourage continued fitness and health improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and surgical procedures, as well as those seeking to improve their functional abilities and overall quality of life. Our focus is on providing comprehensive rehabilitation services that encompass all aspects of physical health. Your expertise will guide patients through their recovery process, minimizing the need for medications or surgical interventions when possible.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent is required, with preference given to candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
• Strong ability to assess and develop targeted rehabilitation plans tailored to individual needs.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and knowledge of diverse treatment modalities.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) platforms like WebPT for efficient record keeping and patient management.
• A proven track record of motivating patients and achieving positive health outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The yearly salary for this role is competitive, ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as generous paid time off and professional development opportunities.
