Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial evaluations and intake assessments to understand clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the clients' unique circumstances and goals.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions to address various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma.

• Lead group therapy sessions that foster connection, support, and healing among participants.
\n
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed based on ongoing assessments.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to ensure holistic care for clients.

• Utilize evidence-based practices and stay updated on the latest developments in mental health treatment.

• Provide ongoing support and consultation for clients' family members to help them understand and manage their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Virginia.

• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to manage client information efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with co-occurring disorders and substance use issues.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects from a mental health perspective.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, with opportunities for sign-on bonuses.
