Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms to inform effective treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate recovery and resilience in clients.

• Educate clients and their families about the nature of mood disorders, outlining available treatment options, and promoting self-care strategies for ongoing support.

• Monitor and document the progress of clients throughout their treatment journey, adapting treatment plans in response to changing circumstances and client feedback.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a client’s mental health.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatments, integrating new findings into therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our clientele is diverse in terms of age, background, and cultural perspectives, presenting unique challenges and opportunities for innovative therapeutic practices. Your ability to establish rapport and trust with clients will be fundamental to their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.
