Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial consultations and ongoing assessments to evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure they're tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Lead engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions that encourage participation and openness.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress on treatment plans and make adjustments as necessary to maximize therapeutic benefits.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers, to integrate care plans and optimize client outcomes.
\n
• Provide follow-up services for clients who require hospitalization, ensuring a continuum of care and effective transition post-discharge.
\n
• Educate and guide clients' family members and caregivers on how to support their loved ones dealing with mental health challenges.
\n
• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Each client will require your dedicated attention and innovative approaches to address their unique needs, ensuring they feel valued and heard throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a focus on evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to streamline client management.

• Experience addressing a range of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and standards.

• In-depth understanding of prescribed medication effects and their implications for mental health treatment.
\n
• Competency in collaborating with diverse health professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
