Work Environment

This position is focused on onsite home care, allowing you the unique opportunity to work closely with patients in their own environments. You will help them navigate their physical challenges in the comfort of their homes, ensuring personalized attention and care. The role allows you to choose your work schedule from Monday to Friday, accommodating your personal needs while maintaining a work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to evaluate their physical conditions and symptoms in detail.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and develop tailored treatment plans for each patient based on their specific needs.
• Teach patients effective therapeutic exercise techniques, ensuring they understand proper form and potential outcomes.
• Provide manual therapy, including stimulation and massage techniques to enhance recovery and promote healing.
• Assist patients in the correct use of mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and other therapeutic aids to improve function.
• Maintain accuracy in patient records, meticulously documenting goals and progress while adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Advise patients and their families on at-home treatment options and exercises that can be implemented to support ongoing recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient caseload will vary widely, encompassing both children and adults dealing with diverse diagnoses, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. This diversity requires a tailored approach to each treatment plan, leveraging your expertise to ensure each patient receives the support they need to regain their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred).
• Valid license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Basic word processing and computer skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
• Demonstrated flexibility and agility in adapting to the evolving needs of patients and the dynamic home care environment.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds, candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in outpatient clinics or home health settings, will be given preference. Experience with pediatric or geriatric populations is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges between USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you in both your personal and professional life.
