Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough client assessments through preliminary interviews, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Document cases meticulously from the initial consultation to treatment closure, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in our electronic health record system.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that suit the diverse needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions focusing on actionable strategies for mental health improvement.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet their evolving needs.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers—to create holistic intervention strategies.

• Provide follow-up support and communicate with medical professionals regarding clients who have specific hospitalization needs.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors or situations that may impede recovery, fostering an environment of support and accountability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Proven successful pass scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of professional experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in telehealth settings.
