Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations using video conferencing tools, documenting the client’s history and presenting issues.

• Develop tailored treatment plans in alignment with evidence-based practices for individual clients, couples, families, and groups, ensuring these plans are dynamic and personalized.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions via remote platforms, employing various therapeutic modalities to cater to client needs.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress within their treatment plans, providing updates and making necessary adjustments to ensure therapeutic efficacy.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to conceptualize and implement integrated care approaches for clients.

• Engage in follow-up communications with clients' psychiatrists and attending physicians to coordinate care, especially for those transitioning from hospitalization.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement proactive strategies to prevent relapse, focusing on the client's strengths.

• Support families and caregivers by providing education about mental health challenges, facilitating their involvement in the treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and relationship difficulties. You will engage with diverse individuals seeking support to navigate their mental health journeys, providing a safe space for expression and healing. Our clients often benefit from a trauma-informed approach that promotes resilience and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Sound knowledge of psychotherapy practices and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to manage client documentation efficiently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to engage and connect with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing mental health counselor, with demonstrable work in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.

• Proficiency in managing co-occurring disorders, including substance abuse or addiction issues.

• Experience utilizing evidence-based interventions and familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• An understanding of psychopharmacology and the impact of medication prescribed for mental health concerns.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
