Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, documenting initial consultations and developing a clear understanding of each client's unique challenges.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic goals, intervention strategies, and measurable outcomes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, skill-building, and personal growth, effectively managing group dynamics and ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

• Monitor client progress through regular assessments and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, providing ongoing support and encouragement to foster change.

• Stay informed about client care developments by participating in case discussions and following up with medical professionals to ensure continuity of care, especially for clients requiring hospitalization.

The ideal candidate will focus on a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and other mental health conditions. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of necessary examinations, including the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, with experience in AVATAR considered an asset.
\n
• Solid understanding of the interplay between mental health conditions and physical health, as well as knowledge of addiction disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by a genuine desire to connect with and support clients effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor in community health settings or clinics.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the guidelines suggested by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
