Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist in our facility, you'll collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. The center's design supports a continuous influx of patients, affording you a highly supportive and resource-rich environment for providing effective therapies. Operating on-site from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, you will have a structured schedule conducive to delivering high-quality patient care without the strain of irregular hours.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will take charge of the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed assessments to ascertain patients' objectives, needs, and rehabilitation potential.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring efficient treatment delivery and optimal care.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Administer cost-effective rehabilitation strategies aimed at enhancing motion and mobility while reducing reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
• Incorporate manual therapy techniques to relieve pain and improve function for patients experiencing orthopedic conditions.
• Regularly assess treatment effects, track progress, and adjust care plans as necessary, communicating with patients to keep them informed and motivated.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided meticulously to ensure continuity and compliance within healthcare regulations.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and enhance comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing a range of orthopedic and rehabilitation needs, focusing on enhancing their physical abilities and functional outcomes. By tailoring interventions to the specific requirements of each individual, you will help them progress towards their personal recovery goals in a supportive and empathetic manner.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New York.
• A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferred experience with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, equipped to provide specialized care in a high-volume environment. Skills in developing and managing personalized exercise programs are highly regarded, as is a strong commitment to patient education and empowerment.

Compensation and Benefits
