Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is an onsite role within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Syracuse, NY. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with periodic flexibility required to meet the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and functionality, using evidence-based practices.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities, providing clear instructions and corrections to ensure optimal performance.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs, encouraging their active participation in the recovery process.
• Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under your guidance to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, including tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functional abilities.
• Ensure the treatment areas are well-prepared, maintaining organization of equipment and supplies for efficient therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and improved outcomes.
• Provide emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment that promotes motivation and resilience.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards by maintaining patient confidentiality and prioritizing respect for their rights and privacy.
