Family First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) to join our team in Syracuse, New York. Work Environment

This is an onsite position located within our outpatient office in the heart of Syracuse, New York. The practice operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a standard work schedule. Our modern facility is designed to optimize patient experiences with cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment and an inviting space conducive to recovery and therapeutic interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' individual needs and establish tailored treatment goals aimed at maximizing their functional potential.
• Manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour to ensure focused and personalized care.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic treatment modalities to offer effective interventions that improve clients' range of motion and mobility.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans that encompass various techniques and modalities.
• Design individualized fitness and wellness programs that promote a healthy lifestyle and long-term independence.
• Monitor and document progress meticulously to assess treatment outcomes and adapt plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to enhance comprehensive patient care and treatment strategies.
• Educate and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, encouraging a proactive approach to their health.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves adults and older adolescents who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Many of our patients seek rehabilitation post-injury or post-operative care, and we focus on empowering them to regain strength and functionality through personalized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and an aptitude for developing effective exercise protocols.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for maintaining patient records and tracking treatment progress.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Proven ability to implement effective treatment strategies that lead to improved patient outcomes.
• A background in mentoring new therapists or facilitating educational workshops is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
