Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments during initial patient consultations to identify needs and establish tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver individual, couple, and family therapy.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups, providing critical support and building a community around shared mental health challenges.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.

• Provide timely crisis intervention services and global support during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients regarding their diagnoses, therapeutic options, and available community resources.

• Ensure accurate and secure documentation of patient records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to enhance clinical knowledge and practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Yuba Health Counseling Center, you will provide care to a diverse patient population in Yakima. Your clients may be facing challenges ranging from common mental health issues like anxiety and depression to more complex conditions such as bipolar disorders and substance abuse. Your role will be pivotal in creating a safe and supportive environment for clients of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences, fostering trust and open communication.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license such as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist in Washington State.

• Strong theoretical knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methods.

• Demonstrated ability to carry out comprehensive mental health assessments and develop effective, individualized treatment plans.

• Experience engaging with diverse populations through individual and group therapy.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with sound ethical judgment.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.

Compensation and Benefits\n
