Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs and goals of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, ensuring that interventions are tailored to each individual's circumstances and recovery goals.

• Provide individual counseling sessions utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to foster personal accountability and behavioral change.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions where patients find community support while discussing their challenges and victories in recovery.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and addiction medication professionals to provide integrated care, discussing patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during moments of acute substance-related emergencies, ensuring safety and immediate care.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance recovery support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on adult patients seeking recovery from various substance use disorders. Each client presents a unique story and set of challenges, requiring sensitive and individualized approaches to care. You will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, addressing co-occurring mental health issues and life challenges alongside their substance use treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.

• Proven skills in facilitating therapeutic interventions, assessments, and group dynamics.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will have a background working with substance use disorder populations, demonstrating familiarity with treatment modalities and evidence-based practices. Compensation and Benefits\n
