Personal Injury / Workers' Compensation ParalegalWe are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a busy litigation practice handling Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation matters. We are open to candidates with experience in Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, or a combination of both. Candidates do not need experience in both practice areas to be considered.ResponsibilitiesDepending on experience, responsibilities may include:Assist attorneys with Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation mattersManage case files from intake through resolutionCommunicate regularly with clients regarding case status and documentationObtain and organize medical records, bills, employment records, and other case materialsPrepare correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documentsAssist with written discovery and document productionMaintain case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedulesCoordinate depositions, hearings, independent medical examinations, and other case-related mattersCommunicate with medical providers, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and other partiesAssist with settlement preparation and resolutionProvide litigation and trial preparation support as neededQualificationsPrior paralegal or substantive legal support experienceExperience with Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation mattersStrong organizational and case-management skillsAbility to manage multiple files and deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented and able to work independentlyFamiliarity with litigation procedures and legal documentationExperience on either the plaintiff or defense side will be considered.We are looking for someone who understands how to keep cases moving, stays ahead of deadlines, communicates effectively with clients and attorneys, and can take meaningful ownership of their files.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
