Make a meaningful impact as a school-based Occupational Therapist! Support students’ personal growth and classroom success in an engaging and collaborative educational environment. As a contract therapist in a dynamic school setting, you will work directly with students to help them overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and fully participate in daily school activities.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Proficiency in individualized assessment, intervention planning, and progress documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet each student's unique needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students’ strengths and areas of need
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans that foster student independence and academic participation
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines
- Maintain accurate records and monitor each student’s progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate results and recommendations with team members and families
