In this position, you’ll work collaboratively with educators and families to address students’ unique developmental and learning needs. As a school-based Occupational Therapist, your impact will be visible every day—empowering children to overcome challenges and achieve their greatest potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT licensure for the state of Rhode Island or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and documentation requirements
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
- Energetic, adaptable approach and a genuine interest in supporting student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans tailored to students’ needs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents regarding intervention strategies
- Document services, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school and state standards
- Contribute insights to multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide education and resources to staff and families to enhance student outcomes
