As a remote role based in Long Beach, California, this position allows for a flexible work schedule while utilizing advanced electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and client management. You will collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Your virtual presence enables you to connect with clients safely and effectively in a school facility setting, where intervention programs are implemented.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide personalized therapeutic services through individual therapy to adult clients experiencing chronic pain issues in an outpatient pain clinic.

• Conduct engaging weekly psychoeducational class sessions aimed at equipping clients with coping strategies and knowledge to better manage their pain.
\n
• Offer brief therapeutic sessions to individuals enrolled in the Functional Restoration Program (FRP), closely monitoring their clinical progress.
\n
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop detailed treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of each client in your active caseload.
\n
• Deliver clinical interventions informed by current best practices in pain psychology, ensuring evidence-based approaches are utilized.
\n
• Facilitate appropriate referrals to other therapeutic modalities within the clinic as needed to ensure holistic client care.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions and treatment delivered in our EMR system to comply with organizational and legal standards.

• Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing clinical social work practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse population of individuals who have sustained injuries at work and are experiencing related psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as managing physical pain. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities faced by clients in these situations and a commitment to providing empathetic and competent care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• An active California License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) is required.

• A minimum of two years of practical experience in the field of social work, with a focus on pain management and mental health.

• Proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

• Experience in working with clients suffering from chronic pain conditions and a familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and colleagues.

• Proven ability to build rapport with clients while exercising sound clinical judgment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
