Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions for children in the home environment, focusing on emotional support and behavior management.
\n
• Conduct group therapy sessions when appropriate, encouraging peer engagement and collective growth.
\n
• Provide specialized interventions such as anger management techniques, coping strategies, and social skills development aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors like self-injurious behaviors (SIB) or physical aggression.
\n
• Engage in ongoing assessment of the youth and caretakers’ decision-making skills to facilitate effective management of in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals to create holistic treatment plans, guiding families through their therapy journey.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in preferably a digital health record system.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, progress updates, and strategies for continuous improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be children aged 3-20 years and their families facing various emotional and developmental challenges, including but not limited to mental health issues and intellectual disabilities. You will work directly with a diverse population, helping caregivers navigate their unique circumstances while advocating for the needs of the child.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential in Texas.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with added flexibility on weekends being a plus.
\n
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home sessions or community engagement.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in providing positive behavior support to children and youth, especially those with developmental disabilities.

• Demonstrated expertise in engaging with families of children with intellectual challenges.
\n
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese are highly preferred to better serve our diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
