The Head Start Youth Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a full-time position based in Mableton, Georgia. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental and emotional health, collaboratively developing effective treatment plans tailored to individual and family needs.

• Provide evidence-based individual psychotherapy and marriage and family therapy services, supporting patients in overcoming psychosocial stressors.

• Utilize advanced software tools for creating and maintaining detailed treatment plans and progress notes, ensuring all clinical charting adheres to organizational standards.

• Consult regularly with other healthcare staff, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and ensuring holistic treatment pathways.

• Participate actively in clinic committees and task forces focused on performance improvement initiatives, directly influencing organizational goals.

• Effectively manage crisis situations and provide appropriate referrals for additional services such as psychiatric medication management, psychological testing, and substance abuse treatments.

• Maintain oversight of follow-up procedures for no-shows as outlined by departmental policies, enhancing patient engagement and retention.

• Complete non-patient care tasks, including timely paperwork for required programs, ensuring efficient clinic operations.

• Accept additional assignments as necessary to meet evolving program needs and achieve comprehensive service goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on serving children, adolescents, and their families within the community who are experiencing a range of challenges, including behavioral issues, family dynamics, mental health disorders, and transitional life events. Our ideal LMFT will be passionate about working with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity to various backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

• A valid license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy, with a preference for those with experience in outpatient settings.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling or therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
