This position offers a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to manage your schedule while focusing on the well-being of our clients. While most sessions will be conducted via telehealth, you may also engage in occasional in-home therapy visits and group therapy sessions at our outpatient center as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges faced by clients.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions in the outpatient center, promoting a supportive peer environment that aids in client healing.
\n
• Utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques to provide anger management sessions, coping strategies, and social skills training to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.
\n
• Work closely with families to enhance decision-making skills that address in-home behavioral challenges, thereby fostering healthier family dynamics.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to care, sharing recommendations and attending monthly case meetings.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, including timely submissions of intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes to uphold quality of service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and teens aged 3-20 who are struggling with various developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. By employing tailored therapeutic interventions, you will assist clients in navigating their unique challenges, thereby enhancing their social skills, emotional regulation, and overall quality of life. You will also support families in learning effective strategies to manage their children’s behavioral issues and foster positive relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 PM; weekend flexibility is advantageous.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.

• A background in working with children aged 3-20, specifically those diagnosed with I/DD, is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and evidence-based therapeutic modalities is a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
