As a full-time therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing intensive in-community therapeutic services to children and families facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Work Environment\n

This position operates within a remote work framework, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. Despite the flexibility of remote work, the core of our practice is community-focused, ensuring that support services are delivered in a collaborative, client-centered manner, both individually and in group settings. You will engage primarily during after-school hours, accommodating families' schedules and maximizing therapeutic engagement.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home therapy sessions as well as group therapy within our outpatient center, ensuring that the therapeutic environment is safe and supportive.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on anger management, coping strategies, social skills, and interventions to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
\n
• Guide youth and their caretakers in making informed decisions to effectively manage in-home behavioral challenges, fostering resilience and self-efficacy.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care, sharing insights and strategies for supporting the youth and family effectively.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake reports, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with established guidelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights and contribute recommendations for continuous improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse group of children aged 3 to 20, including those with various developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your therapeutic approach will be child-centered, focused on building rapport, understanding individual client needs, and tailoring interventions that promote emotional and behavioral health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
\n
• A valid and unrestricted LMFT license is required for this position.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM, with weekend flexibility preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience implementing positive behavior support strategies and working with children and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly desired.

• A background in providing family therapy in community settings and great interpersonal skills for building strong client relationships.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to clients' homes and program sessions.
\n
• Capacity to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting processes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
