Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental and emotional health to inform appropriate treatment strategies.

• Evaluate individual client needs and collaboratively formulate personalized treatment plans that address specific issues and goals.

• Provide tailored individual therapy sessions to clients across all age groups, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational conflicts.

• Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing relationship dynamics.

• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations of client progress and evolving needs.

• Maintain meticulous client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical documentation requirements.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies and provide support for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring they receive the help they need in critical situations.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and comprehensive support.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, participating in training and staying current with the latest research and techniques in marriage and family therapy.

• Advocate for clients’ rights, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a wide client base, including teenagers facing developmental and mental health challenges, adults dealing with life transitions and emotional distress, and couples struggling with communication and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is essential.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State of Illinois is required.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual therapy and/or couples therapy is necessary.

• Proven ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to client needs.

• Strong communication and writing skills, with familiarity in navigating electronic health record systems being a significant advantage.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of relevant experience is mandatory, candidates with a diverse background in handling both child and adult therapy sessions may find themselves particularly suited for this role. Experience in crisis intervention, teletherapy, and multi-disciplinary collaboration are also desirable.
