Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and deliver group therapy in our outpatient center, tailoring interventions to meet each child's unique needs.

• Implement behavioral strategies focused on anger management, social skills development, and coping mechanisms to mitigate high-risk behaviors, such as self-injury and aggression.

• Collaborate with caregivers to enhance their decision-making abilities and equip them with techniques to manage challenging behaviors encountered at home.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team, contributing to shared goals definitive in the development of each child's treatment plan.
\n
• Ensure all necessary documentation, including intake reports, treatment plans, and progress notes, is accurately maintained and submitted within required timeframes to facilitate effective service delivery.

• Participate in monthly meetings, actively providing insights and recommendations that shape the continual improvement of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children aged 3-20, including those facing developmental and intellectual challenges. Our clientele reflects a significant range of needs, and the therapist’s role is pivotal in facilitating their emotional and psychological growth. Recognizing the uniqueness of each child and their family dynamic is essential in fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, ideally during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some flexibility on weekends.

• Proficiency in providing positive behavior support, with a deep understanding of its impact on child development and family dynamics.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel as necessary.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and families, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese are highly desirable to enhance communication and support for our diverse client population.

Compensation and Benefits\n
