Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in children’s homes, focusing on improving emotional regulation, coping skills, and social interactions.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions at local outpatient centers to address specific needs such as anger management and high-risk behavior reduction.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with caregivers, adjusting them based on child and family dynamics.

• Maintain clear and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all organizational and regulatory guidelines.

• Attend and contribute to monthly team meetings, sharing insights and strategies while supporting interdisciplinary collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse population of children, aged 3 to 20, who face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our therapeutic approach emphasizes cultural competency, particularly among bilingual Spanish and Portuguese-speaking families, ensuring that we can effectively communicate and connect with all clients.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Florida.

• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (ideally between 4-7 PM), with additional weekend hours preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for home visits.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing behavioral support and therapy to children with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Prior experience working within community health settings or similar environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n
