In this full-time remote position, you will provide vital therapeutic services to children and their families throughout Springfield, Illinois and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, addressing the unique challenges faced by each child and their family.

• Implement tailored therapeutic approaches including anger management techniques, coping strategies, and social skills development to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Support the improvement of decision-making skills for both youth and caretakers, helping them to manage and navigate in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals from various disciplines to ensure a comprehensive support network for the youth and their families.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes within designated timeframes to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.

• Attend monthly team meetings and contribute recommendations for improving service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be supporting children and adolescents aged 3-20, particularly those with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will engage with a diverse client population, including those from various cultural backgrounds, as the position requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese. This aspect of the role will help ensure that we provide culturally competent care that resonates with the experiences of the families we serve.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this vital role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Hold an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Be available to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with flexibility for weekend hours being beneficial.

• Demonstrate experience in providing positive behavior support to children and families.
\n
• Have a valid driver’s license, access to a registered vehicle, and be prepared to undergo a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

In addition to the mandatory credentials, the ideal candidate will possess:

Compensation and Benefits\n
