Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy in one-on-one and group settings.

• Document all interactions and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and keeping updated with advancements in mental health practices.

• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and enhance client care, ensuring holistic support for mental health and wellbeing.

• Lead therapeutic sessions for families, couples, and individuals based on evidence-based practices designed to foster meaningful change and emotional resilience.

• Act as a key resource for clients seeking support, offering guidance, and navigating through their mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals and families who have limited access to mental health resources. Many clients may present with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will be critical in helping them navigate their challenges and achieve improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia is mandatory.

• Minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards applicable to mental health practice.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
