Key Responsibilities\n

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients, building strong therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conduct regular sessions with clients to monitor progress, address ongoing mental health needs, and plan for potential discharge.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals.

• Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates.
\n
• Carry out comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate new clients’ needs and eligibility for services.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, focusing on each client's specific challenges and therapeutic goals.

• Engage in regular individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and ensure quality of care.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers to create a holistic treatment approach for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will primarily focus on working with youth, which involves understanding the unique challenges faced by adolescents and their families. Counselors will address a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and substance use disorders, ensuring that interventions are appropriate and effective for younger populations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.

• Capability to meet internal credentialing requirements for the clinic.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients or in substance abuse settings.

• Familiarity with assessment techniques and the ability to diagnose mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
