Key Responsibilities

As a Senior LCSW, your day-to-day responsibilities will include a variety of tasks critical to the recovery of our clients, such as:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand each client's unique mental health needs and formulating individualized treatment plans that adhere to industry best practices.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to address patients’ specific challenges, thereby enabling them to develop coping strategies and achieve their recovery goals.
• Maintaining detailed and compliant clinical documentation that meets HIPAA regulations and internal standards, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of patient information.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and counselors, to ensure comprehensive care for patients during their detoxification and recovery process.
• Engaging in regular case consultations and peer reviews to enhance service delivery, share insights, and improve overall treatment approaches.
• Educating patients and their families about addiction, mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
• Staying abreast of developments in mental health and substance use disorder treatment to continuously improve client care and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on supporting individuals undergoing detoxification and recovery from substance use disorders. You will engage with a diverse patient population, including those grappling with various mental health conditions alongside addiction challenges. Your efforts will directly influence their ability to successfully navigate their recovery paths, enhance their coping strategies, and ultimately, achieve sustained mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience that demonstrates proficiency in providing psychotherapy services, particularly in the context of addiction and recovery.
• Proficient in solution-focused and evidence-based psychotherapy techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas with clarity and sensitivity.
