Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist at our Rehabilitation Center, you will work Monday to Friday in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients through detailed history-taking, comprehensive physical assessments, and diagnostic tests to create tailored treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation results, treatment plans, and health education to patients and their families, ensuring that they are actively involved in goal-setting processes.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols according to the patient's progress and ongoing assessments in alignment with best practices and evolving healthcare standards.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, documenting any changes in patients' conditions and adapting care plans as necessary.
• Engage in thorough discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring proper documentation that captures the patient's treatment journey, including focused evaluations, daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Maintain an efficient schedule and time management practices, ensuring compliance with productivity expectations and active participation in community outreach initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental objectives and growth by adhering to governmental and accreditation standards while participating in educational initiatives and marketing activities.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, including attending and directing continuing education opportunities while potentially mentoring and supervising physical therapy students.
• Promote exceptional customer service and support initiatives to improve patient access and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse demographic, including patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will have the chance to make a significant impact on their rehabilitation outcomes by applying evidence-based practices, fostering independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the State of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required.
• A current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in specialized orthopedic rehabilitation and a strong track record of effective patient outcomes will be viewed favorably. Skills in advanced rehabilitation techniques such as manual therapy, dry needling, or specialized exercise programs will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
