Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, considering their medical history, functional abilities, and personal goals to design tailored treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment strategies effectively to patients and their families, incorporating their insights and preferences in goal setting.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols with proficiency, adjusting strategies as needed based on patient progress and evolving healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, identifying any changes in a patient's condition that require reassessment of the treatment plan.
• Manage discharge planning processes to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care, documenting each patient's progress with accuracy and clarity.
• Maintain effective time management to meet productivity targets while providing a high standard of care, scheduling appointments meticulously and attending required meetings punctually.
• Engage in departmental goal reviews and marketing initiatives to bolster community awareness and access to our services.
• Proactively pursue professional development opportunities, potentially serving as a clinical instructor to guide and mentor physical therapy students.
• Enhance patient access to care by participating in initiatives that address any barriers to services, actively analyzing site data to contribute to service improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily caters to orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries such as knee and hip replacements, athletes with sport-related injuries, and patients with chronic orthopedic conditions. By understanding the unique circumstances each patient faces, we tailor our therapeutic approaches to not only address their physical rehabilitation but also to support their overall well-being and motivation throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Virginia, in good standing without any restrictions.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience specializing in orthopedic physical therapy is mandatory.
• Current CPR certification is essential to ensure patient safety and emergency readiness.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is the baseline requirement, candidates who bring additional expertise in specialized orthopedic assessments, advanced therapeutic techniques, or have experience in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment may have an advantage. Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
