Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation process by:

• Directing physical therapy treatment focused on preventing disabilities and relieving pain, while developing and restoring muscle function in accordance with each client's personalized care plan.
• Overseeing and mentoring physical therapy assistants in implementing therapeutic interventions effectively.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic testing of muscles, nerves, and joints, to inform treatment strategies.
• Assessing home environments for rehabilitation suitability and suggesting modifications to enhance client independence.
• Administering manual therapeutic exercises and instructing clients in non-manual exercises and functional activities to support their rehabilitation journey.
• Providing treatment modalities including traction, massage, and other applications of physical agents to alleviate discomfort.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, as well as collaborating with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Documenting and updating clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, as part of our commitment to meticulous patient care.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to collectively assess and plan optimal treatment strategies for clients.
• Executing timely submission of orders and documentation per organizational policies to ensure seamless operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base predominantly includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We aim to meet the diverse needs of our patients through tailored therapeutic interventions, leveraging our team's expertise and collaborative spirit to deliver personalized care strategies that respect each client's goals and preferences.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current PT licensure in good standing in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist in an acute care or home care setting is preferred.
• Active CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, quality, and integrity in practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation settings is highly desirable as it will enhance your ability to implement effective treatments. Familiarity with various rehabilitative technologies and tools will also be beneficial in providing comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
