Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist, you will work directly within our rehabilitation center, collaborating closely with fellow therapists and support staff. The clinic has a welcoming atmosphere designed for optimal patient recovery, equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technology. You will manage a modest patient volume of 1-2 patients per hour, allowing you to focus on delivering personalized care and engaging effectively with each patient.

Key Responsibilities

In your role, you will undertake a variety of tasks critical to the rehabilitation process:

• Conduct thorough assessments to screen and evaluate patients' physical conditions and needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on the evaluation of individual patient progress, ensuring dynamic adjustments as necessary.
• Administer comprehensive therapy services, including exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitation techniques to promote recovery and mobility.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment provided, and subsequent case management activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and provide education on treatment goals.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up to ensure patient continuity and satisfaction post-treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves athletes, individuals recovering from surgical procedures, and those suffering from chronic musculoskeletal disorders. You will work with a diverse patient population, enabling you to expand your clinical expertise and apply specialized treatments tailored to varying degrees of injury and recovery timelines.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current Virginia State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Proficient in operating physical therapy equipment and conducting functional evaluations safely.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and healthcare colleagues, ensuring a positive patient experience.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with at least 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy are preferred, as this experience will enhance your ability to deliver immediate, effective care and facilitate patient progress from the outset.

Compensation and Benefits
