This full-time position focuses on delivering quality care to our patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting, helping them regain their mobility and improve their overall quality of life. Work Environment

This role is performed onsite at our patient care facility, which offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients. You will be working closely with a team that includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collegial environment where knowledge sharing and teamwork are highly valued. With an increasing patient demand, there is a steady flow of appointments, making it essential for our therapists to coordinate effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and create individualized treatment plans that cater to patients' specific orthopedic needs and goals.
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a caseload of one patient per hour, allowing for comprehensive treatment and follow-up.
• Implement various therapeutic techniques and modalities to enhance patients' physical recovery, focusing on strength, flexibility, and mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, rehabilitation exercises, and ways to manage pain and limitations.
• Implement evidence-based practices that aim to reduce the need for medications and invasive surgical procedures.
• Continuously evaluate treatment efficacy, making adjustments as necessary to care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and progress in an electronic medical records (EMR) system, particularly using WebPT, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Collaboratively work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize patient recovery pathways.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout the rehabilitation process, fostering a supportive environment that enhances their confidence and commitment to recovery.
• Conduct follow-ups to monitor patient progress and make recommendations for ongoing care or follow-up sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient population consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and general musculoskeletal disorders. We serve a diverse group of individuals from adolescents to seniors, emphasizing personalized treatment that considers each patient's unique condition and lifestyle. Your role will directly impact their rehabilitation journey, supporting them in regaining functionality and mobility necessary for daily life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board complaints against your license.
• Strong skills and proficiency in manual therapy techniques, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centered interventions.
• Competence in developing exercise protocols tailored to different clinical scenarios and patient capabilities.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and case management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, providing insights and understanding of common rehabilitation practices.
• Expertise in working with diverse populations, showcasing the ability to modify treatment approaches to fit varied patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
