Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, utilizing patient history and specific assessments to establish individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs.
• Clearly communicate evaluation findings and treatment objectives to patients and their families, actively involving them in goal-setting processes to enhance their rehabilitation journey.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, adapting techniques according to patient presentations and ongoing assessments while remaining informed about the changing healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to discuss patient progress, recognizing when changes in patient conditions necessitate modifications to care plans or further medical consultations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist at Bear Lake PT Clinic, you will primarily treat patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic orthopedic conditions. Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals, from active athletes to older adults, each with specific recovery goals and challenges. Your role will be significant in guiding them through their rehabilitation paths, using both hands-on techniques and personalized exercise programs tailored to their lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
