Work Environment

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Sierra Orthopedic Clinic, you will work in a collaborative and supportive environment alongside other healthcare professionals. The rehabilitation center operates Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a structured setting that allows for an optimal work-life balance while managing patient care. The clinic primarily serves individuals covered by private medical insurance, reflecting our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately identify patients' rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure quality care and personal attention.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing innovative physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy and exercise protocols.
• Promote the use of non-surgical interventions and decrease reliance on medications by educating patients on alternative treatment options.
• Design and oversee tailored fitness and wellness programs to enhance patient outcomes, focusing on improving range of motion, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Continuously assess patient progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and document all care services meticulously.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, optimizing outcomes across the board.
• Utilize WebPT EMR Software for efficient patient management and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses predominantly on orthopedic rehabilitation, serving a diverse client base ranging from athletes looking to recover from sports injuries to older adults seeking assistance in managing chronic conditions affecting mobility. Your role will be essential in fostering a supportive and motivating environment, encouraging patients to take an active role in their recovery journey, ultimately enhancing their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid and active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Impeccable professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in creating effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients and priorities efficiently.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR Software is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex patient cases and producing successful treatment outcomes.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to a team-oriented culture of continuous improvement in clinical practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
