Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement personalized treatment programs for patients referred by medical professionals, focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Utilize advanced assessment tools and therapeutic techniques to evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families, creating a positive experience during every visit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance treatment outcomes, incorporating input from physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about therapeutic activities, home exercises, and methods to prevent re-injury.
• Participate in continuous professional development and staff training programs to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Document patient care activities, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. This includes athletes needing rehabilitation after sports injuries, elderly individuals recovering from falls, and individuals with chronic pain. By employing specialized techniques and evidence-based practices, you will help patients regain functional movement, strengthen their bodies, and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• Proven ability to develop rapport with patients, facilitating trust and motivation throughout their recovery.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, necessary for evaluating patient progress and documenting care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working in a rehabilitation or physical therapy setting, specifically with orthopedic cases.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems for patient documentation and treatment planning.
• Background in manual therapy techniques and sports rehabilitation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
